Xan Krohn
Cubist Russia
Signed: Fritt etter Xan Krohn
Xan Krohn (1882 - 1959) was a Norwegian artist who lived and worked
in the Russian Empire for over ten years.
The Russian avant-garde inspires the work, especially the artworks of Aristarkh Lentulov,
one of the most colorful and radical artists of the period 1910–1916,
and one of the founders of the artist group Jack of Diamonds.
This period was characterized by experimentation, a break with traditional expressions,
and strong inspiration from both Cubism and Futurism.
